Hardwood Floor Installation in Wake Forest & Raleigh, NC

Nothing transforms a home quite like genuine hardwood flooring. At NC Floor Guys, owner Lawrence Green brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience to every hardwood floor installation in Wake Forest, NC and Raleigh. We are an owner-operated, fully insured flooring company — the person who gives you your free quote is the same craftsman who installs your floors. No subcontractors, no sales pressure, just honest work done right.

Why Choose Hardwood Floors?

Hardwood floors add warmth, character, and lasting value to any home. Unlike carpet or vinyl, real wood can be refinished again and again, often lasting for generations. Hardwood is also a smart choice for Triangle-area families: it doesn't trap dust, pollen, or pet dander the way carpet does, and it stands up beautifully to daily life when it's installed correctly.

Solid vs. Engineered Hardwood

Not sure which hardwood is right for your home? Solid hardwood is milled from a single piece of timber and can be sanded and refinished many times. Engineered hardwood features a real wood surface layer bonded to stable plywood core layers, making it a great choice for rooms with humidity swings — common in North Carolina. During your free quote, Lawrence will walk you through the pros and cons of each option and help you pick the right wood, plank width, and finish for your space and budget. Popular choices among our customers include oak, maple, and hickory in a range of stains and plank widths.

Our Hardwood Floor Installation Process

Every hardwood floor installation in Wake Forest and Raleigh follows the same careful process. First, we measure your space and provide a free, detailed written quote. Next, your flooring is delivered and acclimated to your home's temperature and humidity — a critical step many installers skip. We then prepare the subfloor, checking for levelness and moisture, before installing your floors using the right method for the product: nail-down, glue-down, or floating. Finally, we complete the trim and transitions and walk through every room with you to make sure you're thrilled with the result. We treat your home with respect throughout: shoe covers, dust control, and a thorough cleanup when the job is done.
